This has always been one of my favorite spots to photograph the Atlanta (and specifically, the midtown) skyline. I have not photographed it since they finished the 12th and Midtown buildings (to the left of the frame). I was in the park yesterday for a family shoot and brought the tripod to get some sunset shots.
Again, these images are all taken with the iPhone and processed in phone. This one was processed with the “pro HDR” app which is my favorite HDR iPhone app.

Storms in Atlanta
As powerful tornados tore through the southeast yesterday (and devastated much of Alabama), we were very cautious with it approaching Atlanta. We were lucky in Midtown, but much of western Georgia did get hit hard. This was taken about 30 minutes before it hit. The clouds were low and moving very fast.

Ashley + Grace
This is a very special set for me, because it is of my beautiful wife 35 weeks pregnant. The photographs were taken at Tuscany courtyard and in our home studio.

Scott + Alicia are married
We were excited to get the call to photograph Scott and Alicia’s wedding. The Baciks are old friends from days when we photographed the band, Widespread Panic. We did photography for his brother’s wedding, maternity, and newborn sessions. It means a lot to us to be included in so many important family events.
Scott and Alicia chose a beautiful setting at Lake Martin in Dadeville Alabama. The wedding service was held at Church of the Living Waters at Stillwaters. It is a nice open air A-frame structure directly on the lake. The reception at a house on the lake and as the sun set, you could see every star in the sky (always a welcome treat for those of us who live in Atlanta).

Trash the Dress
We had the pleasure of doing a follow up shoot with one of our brides, Amy Unger Forrest. Her wedding was a hit and our photography was featured in The Knot Magazine. We were excited to get out and do a trash the dress shoot with her, and are very pleased with the results. It was a great morning on the Cartecay River near Ellijay in north Georgia. The Cartecay is only about an hour from Atlanta and is a quick and easy way to get out of the city and onto the water.
