I have been enthralled with photography since I was six years old. My father would set up his Bronica medium format camera in the back yard and hand me the shutter release cable. From the moment I saw the stunning images of those humming birds, I understood the power of photography, and have had a camera close by ever since.Self portrait - Ashley & Michael Saba
My first official role as a photographer was the photo editor for my high school yearbook, which lead to editor in chief. At the University of Arkansas, I shot for the school newspaper. During my semester at the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) I lugged around an extra ten pounds of camera gear as we climbed mountains, sailed the ocean, and hiked through rain forests, all in hopes of capturing the perfect image to preserve those precious memories.  After seeing the results the next obvious step was to combine photography with another passion, music. I took my Pentax to all of the local shows, and quickly made a name for myself. My first official photo pass was credentialed by the Allman Brother’s Band nine years ago. I then went on to become photo editor for the globally published music magazine, Honest Tune. My most recent assignment has been the official photographer of the national touring band, Widespread Panic.
My work has been published in books, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and television commercials; I am also a member of Professional Photographers of America.
